Ten Times Kids Stole The Show at Weddings

And We Hope You Love Them.

Ten Times Kids Stole The Show at Weddings Written and Shot by: NYC Wedding Photographer Angela Cappetta. Here we have compiled a small iportfolio of some of our favorite kid pictures from our New York City Wedding projects. Simply put,  some of our favorite moments include the little children. Non partisan, non theistic and not allied with any club. These kids just bring it. I hope you enjoy these tiny people having a ball, taking it all in, and letting us know that there are things out there that really matter.  Enjoy!

1. Kids: They Pay Attention

These little ladies are owning the front row. Their flower baskets and crowns of baby's breath send us the message that they are there to do a job. And as we can see, not a single petal has been spared, as evidenced by their empty baskets. This wedding at the New York Athletic Club gave them plenty of room to do their thing.

2. They Steal the Mic - a True New Yorker

This little lady knew exactly what to do. She had to let her aunt and new uncle know how much she looks forward to visiting them once they move. Not only did she steal the show but she stole our hearts.

3. They Help Keep us Organized

This little man is obviously helping his granddad sign the guest book. We love that they did this together. Since the book had polaroids and things to glue, kids are the natural choice to help.

4. They Make Their Own Fun

You often don't even need a Mother's Helper at a wedding. Lots of kids know how to entertain themselves. To emurerate, just look at this paper airplane contest they

  • created
  • designed
  • made up the rules for
  • and executed

All of this without parental aid of any kind. Like the saying goes, if the paper plane can fly in New York City, it can fly anywhere!

5. Kids. Have. Moves.

We don't need to say anything about this. Just look at these two. They positively devastated that dance floor. Rock on little ladies. Rock on.

6. They Strike a Pose When Needed

We love it when kids know the deal. These summer beauties saw me coming and organized themselves accordingly. Although it is a weensy bit awkward, we embrace that fully. At this age, there is no way around learning your angles. Start 'em young, and let' em be who they are. The light pouring in behind them made for a moment that was a lynchpin in the album of this couple's June wedding in Boston.

7. They Make Grandparents Happy

Some weddings are during the day. This means that often, couples will tell their guests that it is ok to bring their baby. When a baby is this cute, it is easy for everyone to enjoy him. But sometimes he is just as happy sitting with his grandparents watching the show. Example here from a wedding at Full Moon Farm in Medusa, NY

8. They Keep it Real

When you have a pre teen on your hands, things get awesome quickly. Just look at her face. This one is all in. Aside from helping her Auntie Laura get into her wedding dress, she just emanates good vibes. If our nieces were this age, we'd be happy having them around all the time.

9. Ten Times Kids Stole The Show at Weddings: They Wear Onesies with Tuxedos Printed on Them

When baby clothes nail it, they nail it. Take this little guy for example. He is wearing a 2-D tux. It rules. I want one for myself.

10. Proof they Steal the Show.

You can tell by the look at everyone's face that this little man, the groom's nephew, really loved seeing him in full regalia. Not only was he happy, but he made everyone else around him happy. Spreading joy is absolutely the name of the game.
